A preschool where children "build strong and caring relationships" with staff has been praised by Ofsted following a recent visit.
Playdays Preschool's Collier Row branch - based in St James' Family Church - was visited by Ofsted on April 23 and the findings were published on May 20.
The early years education provider was deemed 'good' overall and its caring ethos was highlighted as a reason why.
Inspectors found that the relationships built between children and staff were important and described these as "strong and caring".

Interactions start from the beginning of the day, inspectors found, where the preschool creates a "warm and friendly" atmosphere and children are "encouraged to hang up coats and bags independently".

The report also credited staff's communication with parents and described these partnerships as "effective" - staff keep parents updated about their child's development through daily discussions and a messaging app.
The outdoor space was also highlighted where children "enjoy their time in the large, spacious and exciting garden".
They "explore nature as they feel the textures of the grass and flowers and stamp their feet as they experiment walking around the muddy parts of the outdoor space".
The report noted that this outdoor accessibility "supports children to express their thoughts and ideas as they communicate through talking".
Claire Lakin, owner of all 14 Preschool Playdays branches in Havering, said: "We are super proud of the glowing Ofsted report that we achieved at our St James, Collier Row setting.
"The staff work extremely hard to ensure that the children have the best time and learn lots through fun, laughter and play.
"All children are welcome at our inclusive setting and we have recently set up a baby room to allow even the youngest children to experience our preschool.
"We would like to say a big thank you to all of our families for their support and trusting us to look after their little ones.
"We have an open morning on Friday, July 18 from 9am to 11am so feel free to pop along and see us if you are looking for a space in September."
