A new bar could soon open in Upminster with live music and entertainment.

Baileys Bar Ltd has applied for a premises licence for 25 Corbets Tey Road, covering the provision of live and recorded music and the supply of alcohol.

The business - listed under both the restaurant and pub and bar category on Companies House - hopes to sell alcoholic drinks between midday and 11pm.

It does not specify which days this is for.

The premises, opposite Upminster Library, is now vacant but was once home to a hair and beauty salon and a shoe repairs shop.

Plans were approved in December 2024 to knock the two shops together and turn them into a mixed use restaurant and takeaway.

The planning officer's report reveals that, at the time, the applicant agreed a closing time each day of 10pm.

Baileys Bar's premises licence application is open to feedback until March 18, and representations can be made in writing to Licensing Authority, London Borough of Havering Town Hall, Main Road, Romford.
