With fuel prices on the rise, here are the cheapest spots for you to fuel up in Romford.
According to government data, the average UK price for unleaded petrol at the pump has risen 73.77 per cent over the last 20 years.
In February 2005, the average price of petrol was 79.84p per litre but now in February 2025, the average price sits at 138.74p per litre - a jump of nearly 75pc.

Using petrol and diesel prices updated on the Petrol Prices website within the last two days, here are the cheapest spots for fuel in Romford.
The petrol station at Tesco Extra on Bryant Avenue is rated the cheapest location for unleaded petrol and diesel in Romford with a price of 136.9p per litre of petrol and 144.9p per litre of diesel.
It also offers the cheapest super unleaded petrol at 143.9p per litre according to the most recent price update on February 17.
Offering the next cheapest petrol prices are Texaco in Eastern Avenue and the Sainsbury's at The Brewery Shopping Centre - both of which charge 137.9p per litre.
Texaco match Tesco's price of 144.9p per litre of diesel whilst Sainsbury's charges one penny more according to prices updated today (February 18).
There is, however, a substantial difference in the prices of premium unleaded petrol between these two with Texaco charging 158.9p per litre whilst Sainsbury's offers 149.9p per litre.
The Shell garage on Eastern Avenue can offer the next best price for petrol at 138.9p per litre whilst matching Sainsbury's diesel price of 145.9p per litre.
Super unleaded petrol here is currently priced at 164.9p per litre whilst premium diesel is at 174.9p per litre.
Five separate Romford petrol stations price their unleaded petrol at 139.9p per litre according to the most recent updates.
These are: JET in High Road, Esso in Collier Row Road, Esso in Main Road, Esso in Faringdon Avenue and Shell in Brentwood Road.
Out of these five, the JET garage and the Collier Row Esso can offer the lowest price on diesel at 146.9p per litre whilst the Esso on Main Road charges the lowest price for premium diesel in all of Romford at only 161.9p per litre.
