Snow returned to many parts of the country this week - and was even spotted in Romford.
While this did not settle to any significant extent, Havering has been buried under heavy snow in years gone by.
This week, we are looking back at photos which capture these amazing weather scenes.
From Market Place blanketed under snow in the 1920s to shoppers braving the icy conditions in Upminster, we will take you back to many winters past.
Snow scenes in Havering captured in 'atmospheric' photos
Hare Street, Gidea Park - c.1895-1905
This photo, which dates back to somewhere between 1895 and 1905, shows children enjoying the snow in Hare Street (now Main Road), Gidea Park.
Two horses and carts can be seen, with the one in the distance belonging to John Bentley Arch, who had various businesses in Market Place, according to Havering Libraries.
Market Place, Romford - c.1927/1928
This photograph shows Market Place under heavy snow in the late 1920s - which Havering Libraries describes as "atmospheric".
The snow scene also captures the former building of The Bull on the left which, according to Havering Libraries, was demolished in 1928 before the present pub was opened in 1929.

One of the brewery chimneys can also be seen peeking over the buildings in the distance, and St Edward's Church stands tall on the right.
Raphael Park, Romford - 1970 and 1982
A photo taken by Roy Squire captures a snow scene in Raphael Park in 1970, with the bandstand in the background and two people enjoying a winter walk.
Another snap, taken by Kenneth Ruthven in January 1982, shows a family having fun in the snow.
Raphael Park was the first public park in Romford, according to Havering Libraries, opening more than a century ago in 1904.
Corbets Tey Road, Upminster - c.1973
Taken in around 1973, this photo shows shoppers braving the wintry conditions in Corbets Tey Road, Upminster.
In the distance, shops and businesses such as Boots, Foster Brothers and Freeman Hardy Willis can be seen.
Rainham Hall, The Broadway, Rainham - 1994
Perhaps the prettiest winter scene, this photograph captures Rainham Hall covered in snow in 1994.
The Grade II-listed National Trust building was also surrounded by snow in 2019 - but it was fake and used as part of filming for the BBC's adaptation of A Christmas Carol.
