A bubble tea shop in Romford has shut down - and is now flogging its equipment on Facebook.
T4, a bubble tea chain with more than 40 shops across the country, opened its Romford store in April last year.
But this morning (June 24), just 14 months after it first welcomed customers, the Market Place shop announced that it had permanently closed.
In a Facebook post, the store said that it was also selling its equipment, and asked people to direct message their account if interested in buying any of it.
Among the 38 different items for sale were a six-camera CCTV system, electric shutter and till counter.
T4 Romford told the Recorder that the shop was "sad to leave", but had been forced to close for a wide range of reasons.
These included the high rental cost of the unit and low footfall, they said.
They added that "uninterested customers" who wanted discounts, and Romford Market "becoming dead" after certain hours were contributory factors.
