A Wetherspoons pub in Romford was temporarily closed over the weekend.
The Moon and Stars in South Street was unexpectedly shut on June 9, leaving customers wondering why.
An employee for the pub confirmed to the Recorder today (June 10) it was closed for around three to four hours whilst the venue underwent some maintenance works and has since reopened.

They could not confirm the nature of the maintenance works, but several commenters on social media believed that there was a leak.
The Moon and Stars' Sunday opening hours last from 8am until 12am.
The pub underwent a £1.3 million refurbishment in 2019 that created a new roof terrace.
