A man has been charged with murder after a 42-year-old man was stabbed. 

The victim, named in court documents as Oleg Sloboda, was found at an address on Cranston Gardens, Chingford, on Monday (May 6). 

Police had been called to the address at around 9pm following concerns for the welfare of a man inside the address. 

Oleg had suffered knife injuries and died at the scene. 

Baimolda Beibit, 37, of Cranston Gardens, was charged with murder on Tuesday (May 7). 

A 33-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of murder but released on bail pending further enquiries. 

Beibit appeared in custody at Thames Magistrates Court on Wednesday (May 8) and was  remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on Friday (May 10).
