Havering Small Business Awards nominations deadline nears

The deadline for nominations for the Havering Small Business Awards is fast approaching.

Businesses can nominate themselves until 5pm on Friday (May 3).

Award categories include Best Small or Independent Business, Best Take Away and Best Shopfront.

Now in its third year, the competition allows businesses to nominate themselves and explain why they should be shortlisted.

If shortlisted, the business will be checked by the council to see if it's eligible before it goes to public vote.

The three with the highest number of votes from the second round will be invited to an awards evening this September.

  • Best Small or Independent Business
  • Best Beauty or Service Business
  • Best Take Away
  • Best Hospitality Business
  • Best Tradesperson
  • Best Customer Experience
  • Best Shopfront
  • Best Social Enterprise or CIC
  • Best Newcomer 
  • New for this year – Best Sustainable Business
  • The Havering Small Business of the Year Award
