A major tunnel in Limehouse has been reopened following a crash. 

The Limehouse Link Tunnel was temporarily shut earlier today (April 11) after a car crashed into its wall. 

Officers from the Metropolitan Police were dispatched to the scene of the incident at 3.41am in the eastbound side of the tunnel.

They were accompanied to the scene by paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, who confirmed no injuries were reported.

(Image: Anonymous)A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: "The debris has been cleared up and the tunnel has reopened so traffic can return to normal.”

The London Ambulance Service has been contacted for their comment.
