A fresh seafood stall has opened in Romford, a move welcomed by people in the area.
The North Romford Community Centre on 32 Clockhouse Road will now host the Fresh Seafood van every Sunday from 10am until 4pm.
Due to "popular demand", the stall was open on Good Friday (March 29) at those times as well.
The stall serves mussels, cockels, whelks, oysters and traditional fare such as jellied eels, an East End favourite.
People on Facebook reacted positively to the announcement, after the community centre confirmed the stall had opened on March 24.
"Top quality seafood had whelks, cockles and dressed crab," said Keith Gleeson.

"Lovely sea food," added Gillian Thorne. "I had some yesterday."
Cheryl Dent-mann singled out their mussels and said they were worth a try.
The community centre, which has sports, recreational and meeting facilities, also has a popular Pie & Mash stall operate on its premises.
