A comic's video joking that Kate Middleton was spotted in Romford has been watched by thousands of people online.

Lucia Keskin, of BBC’s Things You Should Have Done fame, released a comedy skit on TikTok where she claimed to have run into the Princess of Wales in a car park in Romford.

She goes on to joke: “So I went over, I tapped on her shoulder, and I said ‘Oh my god, Kate! What’s happening are you okay?’ ”

To which, she says Kate responds in a Geordie accent: “Oh no, don’t worry about me pet. I am totally fine. I am currently doing me level three NVQ in plastering, tiling and eyebrow threading so I'd like to do it off radar."

The video was posted five days ago and has since received around 311,000 views and 35,000 likes.

Lucia, who first became popular on YouTube, has more than half a million followers on TikTok.

The video was shared by fans with many leaving amusing comments under it.

One TikTok user asked: “You sure it wasn’t Cheryl Cole?” referring to Lucia's accent while another said: “I always knew she wanted to move to Romford, but I was sworn to secrecy."

The Princess of Wales remains away from royal duties after having surgery in January.
