A boy, 14, has been arrested in connection with a 'disturbance' at a Tesco superstore in Collier Row.

Police were called to the supermarket in Collier Row Lane at 6pm on Monday (February 19) to reports of youths causing a disturbance.

When police arrived, the 14-year-old was spotted nearby and arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon, common assault and shoplifiting.

He was also arrested on suspicion of affray, criminal damage and a public order offence.

"The local neighbourhood team are working with a view to banning those who commit offences," a Met Police spokesperson said.

A CCTV review is being conducted to find repeat offenders and, where appropriate, inform their parents, police added.
