Police have issued an update on the condition of a girl critically injured in a crash involving a car and an e-scooter on the Isle of Dogs. 

The 12-year-old girl was a passenger on the e-scooter that was involved in the collision with a car along East Ferry Road on February 18. 

The driver of the e-scooter, a man in his 20s, was also injured.

Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service (LAS) took the pair to the hospital where the girl is continuing to fight for her life two days after the incident. 

The man's injuries are not believed to be life threatening. 

Officers from the Metropolitan Police were called to the scene outside Crossharbour DLR station at 9.06pm by LAS where the driver of the car was found without injuries. 

Enquiries are ongoing into the crash and no arrests have been made.
