Homes for people, stables for horses and an artificial grass pitch for primary school children are among recent applications lodged.

Planning applications have been submitted to Havering Council between January 30 and February 5 bringing potential change to some areas.

They will each be reviewed by the council before any final decisions are made.

One application (P0135.24 ) is from Gidea Park Primary School, in Lodge Avenue.

The school plans to install an artificial grass multi-games area, as well as an artificial grass spectating area, which will be connected to the new sports facility.

Two applications have been submitted where building an HMO (house of multiple occupation) is planned.

One proposal ( P0008.24) is for a change of use to HMO and a single storey rear extension in Yale Way, Hornchurch.

The other in Kingsmead Avenue, Romford,(P0098.24) is for a two storey rear extension with a loft conversion to form a one bedroom end terrace dwelling.

The existing plan for a six bedroom HMO will be reduced to five bedrooms with off road parking at the front.

In Wykeham Avenue, Hornchurch (P0130.24), the garage has been demolished to allow for a double storey side extension which includes part first floor side extension and a ground floor side and rear extension

In Ferndown, Hornchurch, the application (P0146.24) is for the garage to be converted into a single storey rear extension for habitable use.

The plan also includes a floor side and rear extension and creation of habitable loft which involves raising the roof height.

The existing roof profile line has to be raised in line with that and a front porch relocated with a new door entrance.

In Noak Hill Road, Romford (P0144.24) the plan is to add two new flats to proposed double storey rear extensions to existing detached building, to make four flats in total.

The proposal includes associated amenities and facilities and the retention of the ground floor commercial unit with shopfront alterations.

In Albany Road, Hornchurch, the application (P0109.24) is to convert a single dwelling into two two-bedroom flats involving a loft conversion with rear dormer and roof lights to front, the garage converted to habitable use and a single storey rear/side extension.

Emerys Poultry Farm, in Tomkyns Lane, Upminster, need stables (P0103.24).

Any comments must be received within three weeks of February 5.
