If you've ever wondered where in London takes the crown as the 'coolest' postcode, then look no further.

As The Sunday Times has curated a list of the UK's top ten coolest postcodes to move to in 2024 and one's in London.

Created by speaking to property experts and seeing what each postcode has to offer, the London location goes against the likes of Hope Cove in Devon, Tongue in the Scottish Highlands and Rutland in the Midlands.

But, there was only one postcode in London that was deemed worthy enough by The Sunday Times to make it on the list, and it may just surprise you.

This is London's coolest postcode

If you live under the SW4 postcode in Clapham, congratulations, you officially live in the coolest area of London.

The Sunday Times, shares that Clapham's rise is down to the recent "string of openings" adding that "Brooke on Abbeville Road could be the “modern European” small-plates restaurant SW4 has been lacking."

The paper added: "for the best coffee, venture a couple of doors down to Nue Ground, the favourite coffee shop of the chef Michel Roux (he has even been known to go to the yoga studio next door).

"For Sunday lunch, head to the Apollo Arms for huge roasts swimming in rich gravy.

Away from food options, Clapham Commons is also praised as The Sunday Times shares: "Locals know the postcode’s best free run club is @runthroughrunclub.

Another London neighbourhood was mentioned with Newington Green Bend in North London being named among the best micro-neighbourhoods.

Praised for its food offerings, The Sunday Time shares: "Newington Green in north London is home to a microcosm of buzzy businesses.

"A sign you’re heading in the right direction are tote bags bearing the name Jolene, worn by the devotees of the bakery (think Michelin-grade pasties) and restaurant."

Adding: "Stella’s butcher doubles as a listening bar, where DJs spin records over a 1970s Tannoy after hours."
