A Poundland store has replaced a former Wilko in a busy shopping centre after the retail giant's collapse.
Poundland opened in Baytree Shopping Centre, Brentwood, on Friday (October 20).
It replaces the previous Wilko unit, which shut on September 27 after the home and hardware chain entered administration in August.
Baytree manager Maria Kyriacou-Edwards said: “We are really excited to welcome Poundland.
"This Poundland really does feature a huge range of essentials at affordable prices, as is already proving to be popular with shoppers," she added.

Brentwood's Poundland includes 11 aisles with homeware, food, drink, beauty as well as Halloween and Christmas products.
It also has a selection of affordable clothing and accessories.
Other shops in the centre include WHSmith, Holland & Barrett and The Fragrance Shop.
