A stolen vehicle has been recovered after being driven the wrong way down the A13.
Officers from Beam Park ward ordered a vehicle to stop in Rainham yesterday (September 21) night but the Met Police said it failed to do so.
The car, believed to be on false number plates, was pursued by the officers as a result.
The driver reportedly “went to the wrong side of the A13”, so the chase was terminated, police said.

Officers later found that the car was abandoned by the driver and had been stolen.
A forensic investigation is being carried out.
