An exhibiton showcasing the work of local artists was held in Upminster.

The Thames Chase Art Exhibition ran for ten days earlier this month and displayed the work of 35 artists in their heritage barn, reportedly their biggest number to date.

Paintings and sculptures were among the range of art on view.

The artwork took inspiration from the surrounding area in Thames Chase.

The exhibition was opened by artist Tom Mead, whose work focuses on exploring the relationship between traditional painting techniques, and technology using glitches.

A preview event offered attendees food and drink from The Forest Centre Tea Room at Thames Chase, as well as live harp music by Hilary Barkwith.
