The Princess of Wales is set to make an appearance in east London next week.

Kate will visit Streets of Growth, a youth intervention charity based in Aldgate, on Tuesday (September 19).

The charity, located in Middlesex Street, specialises in outreach programmes to try and re-engage teenagers and young adults aged 15 to 25.

Kensington Palace said that the organisation works to transform the lives of young people “at risk of becoming trapped in a cycle of isolation, exploitation, violence and criminality”.

Intervention workers often visit communities in-person to help break negative behavioural patterns, and has helped more than 5,000 young adults since 2001.

Streets of Growth was established after research work to visit Roca, a similar organisation in Boston.

Roca was visited by The Prince and Princess of Wales during their time in the city in December 2022.

During her visit to Aldgate on Tuesday, Kate will meet with frontline staff to hear about the charity’s approach to supporting young people at risk.

Her Royal Highness will then spend time with people who have benefitted personally from the work of the organisation.

She will also meet with a representative from Unite Students, who have provided the new space for Streets of Growth at their building in east London.
