Some retailers in Havering have been added to the list of those with a zero food hygiene rating.

All of the borough's food sellers are regularly inspected by the Food Standards Agency and rated between 0 to 5 on hygiene, cleanliness of facilities, and management of food safety.

Most sites in the borough perform well but there are six food retailers and restaurants rated zero - the lowest rating.

These outlets are said to require ‘urgent improvements’ to their food hygiene standards. The ratings however do not stand for quality of the food, customer service, culinary skills of the makers, presentation of food and comfort of the venue.
