The following cases were heard in Romford and Barkingside Magistrates’ Courts in the week starting June 19.

They include a drunk man who assaulted a nurse at King George Hospital and a blue badge thief. 

Rizwan Ahmed, 25, of Grosvenor Road in Ilford 

Pleaded guilty that on June 4 he was drunk and disorderly at King George Hospital and assaulted a nurse. 

Fined £961 and ordered to pay a £384 victim surcharge. 

Wasim Ahmad, 40, of Cameron Road in Seven Kings 

Pleaded guilty that on October 25 he stole a disabled badge and damaged someone’s car. 

Given a 10-week prison sentence. 

Millie Amy Creedon, 23, of Rose Garden Close in Romford 

Pleaded guilty that on June 4 she was drunk and disorderly at ATIK nightclub in Romford and assaulted a man. 

Fined £120 and ordered to pay £50 in compensation. 

Alexandru Iordache, 35, of Cranbrook Rise in Gants Hill 

Pleaded guilty that on June 17 he drove while over the legal alcohol limit and assaulted two police officers. 

Disqualified from driving for one year and given a community order including unpaid work requirements. 

Imran Malik, 39, of Wellington Drive in Dagenham 

Pleaded guilty that on May 26 in Dagenham he assaulted a woman. 

Given a community order including a requirement to participate in a building better relationships programme. 

Randall Linton, 59, of Downings in Beckton 

Pleaded guilty that on May 27 he stole a bottle of champagne from Asda and that he also carried a Stanley knife in a public place. 

Given a six-month prison sentence suspended for one year. 

Corneliu Traciuc, 55, of Kingston Road in Ilford 

Pleaded guilty that on May 28 he was in possession of a knife outside Ilford Station. 

Given a four-month prison sentence suspended for one year. 

Joe Catchpole, 31, of Langhorne Road in Dagenham 

Pleaded guilty that at The Royal Hotel Beefeater in Purfleet he destroyed a TV, damaged a wardrobe and used abusive or insulting words against staff. 

Ordered to pay £600 compensation and discharged conditionally. 

Peter James Brown, 65, of Listowel Road in Dagenham 

Pleaded guilty that on July 11, 2022, in Dagenham he used abusive or insulting words against a young girl and it was racially or religiously aggravated. 

Given a community order and fined £100. 

Omar Khalid, 21, homeless 

Pleaded guilty that on June 21 on Ripple Road in Barking he carried a kitchen knife in public. 

Given a four-month prison sentence suspended for one years. Justices said: “We do understand your lifestyle to a certain extent and that you probably carry everything you own with you rather than leave it all behind, but you must really not carry knives in a public place.” 

Joseph Francis Mccarthy, 50, of Kingsmead Avenue in Romford 

Pleaded guilty that on May 1 in Rainham he assaulted a man and attempted to stop the lawful apprehension of another person. 

Given a 43-week prison sentence. 

Zahir Abdin, 20, of Exeter Gardens in Cranbrook 

Pleaded guilty that he was in possession of cannabis and a weapon, an extendable baton. 

Given a community order including an unpaid work requirement.
