A bizarre video shows a social media trickster apparently getting kicked out of a Tesco Express after he breaks into a restricted staff area.

Security is seen escorting TikToker @SecretMizzy outside the shop in South Street, Romford, after he walks into the staff area and explores the backroom of the Tesco Express.

Tesco’s security operation team has confirmed to the Romford Recorder that there was a “trespass incident” at the store on May 2.

The TikToker, who says he is from Dalston and goes by the name Mizzy, captioned the now-deleted online video with “Tesco backrooms are massive”.

Within seconds of walking inside the shop, he turns to the staff door, opens it and walks past piles of packages.

He then heads inside the area and performs a dance on top of a chair inside the staff room.

As he explores the rest of the rooms, he reveals unused rooms piled with stacks of cardboard boxes.

When a security guard stumbles across Mizzy, the social media figure pretends he is there for a “job interview”.

Then as he is taken to a staff member, Mizzy asks if the worker is “Chris Rock” and then says: “I have a job interview, but I don’t think this is the right Tesco’s.”

The video has been seen over 45,000 times and in other TikToks – some with three million views – Mizzy appears to record himself trespassing other shops, riding bicycles inside supermarkets and job centres and trespassing into people’s homes.

Shortly after publication, TikTok says the account has been "banned" with all videos removed.

Tesco said the store manager has reported the incident to police and they are “very much aware of the incident”.

The Metropolitan Police said officers were called after the video was posted online.

A spokesperson said: “The shop was open at the time and nothing was taken.

“Following further enquiries, it was established that no offences had been committed and there was no further police action.”

A Tesco Spokesperson said: “We are aware of this incident which occurred on May 2, 2023 and our store team have reported it to the local authorities.”
