A West End star returned to his former college in Hornchurch to speak to students.

Lee Van Geleen, who is playing Trigger in the musical Only Fools and Horses, visited Havering Sixth Form on November 29.

The former Royal Liberty School pupil, who has also starred in a West End production of Les Miserables, spoke to performing arts and drama students about his journey to the London stage.

The college said Lee, who was a performing arts student there himself, told the current sixth formers to keep believing in themselves and not to be afraid of stepping out of their comfort zones.

A spokesperson added: "It was great to welcome Lee back to the sixth form and hear all about his current role as Trigger.

"The students got to ask questions and were able to find out what working in a top West End show is really like."

The Only Fools and Horses musical is playing at Theatre Royal Haymarket.
