BRENTWOOD swimmers will be making a splash for charity when they compete as part of the world’s biggest fundraising swim.
Brentwood School sports centre pool, Ingrave Road, will host a leg of the event in which swimmers try individual challenges of different lengths depending on their ability.
Paul Morgan, manager of the sports centre, said: “Swimathon is fantastic as it brings our community together as they raise money for charity, and provides them with a great challenge.”
The money raised goes to Marie Curie Cancer Care, who provide free nursing care to people with terminal cancer and other terminal illnesses, and the Swimathon Foundation.

Nationally 22,000 swimmers are aiming to raise over �2m for the charities.
