Face painting, a bouncy castle and plenty of food were keeping residents of Lucerne Way, Romford, happy.
Children and adults gathered in the street shortly after the wedding ceremony of Prince William and Princess Catherine, now known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, finished.
Younger children, including Evan Andrews and brother and sister Lucy and George Gard, had their faces painted and jumped on the bouncy castle.
The Briar Road Residents’ Association (BRAG) sponsored the bouncy castles, one for babies and one for older children, at the event.
Win Gleed, chairman of BRAG, said: “This is really getting the community together, young and old.”
