A Harold Hill care home has been given the stamp of approval by health and social care inspectors the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Newstead House, on Troopers Drive, Whitchurch Road, passed a surprise CQC inspection last month. The home, run by housing charity Viridian, provides residential care for 32 adults with learning disabilities.
According to a report published by the healthcare regulator, the five essential standards used to assess the quality of care provided by the residential care home were sufficiently met.
The report said: “All the people we spoke with were happy with the care and support provided by the service. People were treated with respect by staff and were relaxed in their company.”
Imogen Lucas, care services manager at Viridian said: “This is a great achievement for Newstead House. The report published by the CQC reaffirms the quality of care that we are consistently trying to provide our residents. It is due to the team’s hard work and perseverance that Viridian got this successful result. We are ecstatic.”
