A Havering PCSO was unflappable when he was called to deal with an angry swan which had taken to menacing motorists.
Several concerned drivers phoned Upminster Safer Neighbourhood Team to report the bad-tempered bird as it refused to move for cars in country lanes in the area.
PCSO Wupundu Simpungwe bravely managed to shoo the swan to safety before the RSPCA transported it back to its home on the river.
PCSO Simpungwe said: "Dealing with very cross swans was never covered in our training and it was a challenge to ensure that the swan was not injured by a passing car. I was very pleased when I managed to get it off the road and have never been as pleased to see the RSPCA!"
