A young Harold Wood road accident survivor helped out at a furry fun day to say thanks to the charity that looked after him.
Paralympic torch bearer Alby Dobinson, 17, underwent rehab at the Children’s Trust in 2008 following the accident. The trust provides rehabilitation for children with brain injuries and care for children with complex health needs.
And Shenfield High pupil Alby collected donations and helped out at the charity’s animal petting day on Old MacDonald’s Farm, South Weald, helping the charity net �102.
Barnie the Bear, the trust mascot, chatted with youngsters while volunteers provided face painting, games and a lucky dip.
