St Francis Hospice has won a national award for its communication skills training.
The hospice got through to the south east regional final of the National Training Awards organised by the National Apprenticeship Service this week.
The hospice, which was the only health provider to get through, will now go to the national final at the Skills Show in Birmingham on November 14,
Pam Court, chief executive of St Francis Hospice, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have received this regional award. Communication skills are vital in the work of the hospice and to have our training recognised in this way is a great credit to all of our staff and volunteers.”
Communications skills training is available to anyone who wants to improve their skills, not just people working at the charity.
