While the students at Drapers’ Academy will be working hard to see that the Queen enjoys her day, youngsters from Pyrgo Priory Primary School will be making sure that she gets a good send-off.
More than 400 students from the school in Settle Road, Harold Hill, will be greeting the Queen as she leaves the academy.
Headteacher Glenn Lucas said: “It’s a huge honour and we feel very lucky to be involved in the day.
“This is a big thing for us because we had our own jubilee celebrations and a street party, so we are really happy that the children will get the chance to see the Queen.”
