A toddler visiting Havering was reunited with his favourite toy thanks to staff at Romford Shopping Hall.
Theo Scott Hunter, who lives in Vietnam, was visiting family in the area over Christmas and became distraught after he lost an elephant at the Market Place centre.
But just before his family were due to fly back to the Far East, Ebony the elephant was found underneath a stall.
His mum Lorna said: “We are delighted Ebony has been found and we were dreading the 14 hour flight home to Vietnam.
“A huge thank you to all the staff at Romford Shopping Hall for finding Ebony - this is the best start to the new year we could ask for.”
