Barry wants to reward travelling fans
Romford captain Jack Barry wants to reward those fans who make the long trip to Wroxham tonight.
Boro face a near 250-mile round trip to Norfolk for their Ryman Division One North clash, rescheduled for midweek after the original Saturday fixture was postponed just before Christmas.
Paul Martin’s men go into the match seeking a third successive win, having seen their derby with Aveley fall victim to a waterlogged pitch on Friday night.
And Barry cannot wait to get back into action, as Boro look to redress the balance following a 1-0 home defeat against the Yachtsmen in September.
He said: “We can’t wait for the game now.
“Everyone was disappointed the game wasn’t on against Aveley, but we just have to move on and get the job done.
“We are all looking forward to the game after losing to them last time around at home to a very dubious penalty very early on in the game.
“But that was a long time ago now and all the boys are much more gelled together and have a better understanding with one another.
“I think we will go out there tonight and put a good performance on, especially for the fans that will travel a long way to watch the game.”
