Police have released this picture showing the damage to a man’s teeth in the hope that people will name those responsible.
The assault happened on New Year’s Day in William Hunter Way when an 18-year-old university student, from Hutton, was out with friends.
At about 3.20am they were in the queue at a burger van, near the Sainsbury’s roundabout when he and two friends were assaulted by a group of men.
His friends only received minor injuries, but the victim was punched and kicked, and has had to undergo extensive dental work.
Police want to speak to anyone who remembers seeing the assault and can give any information about those responsible.
You can call PC Danielle Mungham at Loughton on 101.
