Firefighters saved a woman from a blaze in her home yesterday afternoon.
Romford fire teams, wearing breathing apparatus, rescued the victim from the second floor flat, in Monkwood Close, Romford.
She was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service (LAS) to be treated for smoke inhalation.
Part of the flat was damaged in the fire.
The brigade was called just before 5pm and teams in two engines brought the blaze under control at around 5.50pm.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
