Who lives in a house like this?

The door posts of this appetising abode are made from candy canes, while the trees are in fact upturned ice cream cones, the roof thatched with breakfast cereal and the walls built from gingerbread.

The delicious dwelling was created from scratch by 14-year-old St Edward’s pupil Hayley Garraway, of Hornchurch – and not a wicked witch in sight.

“She does a lot of baking,” said proud mum Hilary. “She’s very creative. It’s hopeless for my diet.

“She started it on Boxing Day and finished on New Year’s Eve. She didn’t want to eat it because it looked so good, but she’s getting to the point now where she probably will.”
