Police seized two vehicles and handed out six fixed penalty notices in a two hour operation.
Officers from Upminster and South Hornchurch Safer Neighbourhood team joined forces recently for the operation in Spencers Road, Rainham.
The penalty notices were issued for a variety of offences including no seat belt and driving whilst using a mobile phone.
The two vehicles were seized for being driven without insurance.
Sergeant Mark Lambkin from South Hornchurch Safer Neighbourhood team said: “We had a number of excellent results during this initiative. Driving without vehicle insurance is both dangerous and selfish. We will continue to target these individuals and will take their vehicle off the road at every opportunity.”
