Rishi Bhachu, of Rockingham Avenue, Hornchurch, was handed a £635 bill after pleading guilty to drink-driving.
The 37-year-old was breathalysed at Ilford Lane, Ilford, on March 24, and found to be at more than twice the legal drink-drive limit, which is 35 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath. Bhachu had 88 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath.
He was fined £500 at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on April 11, as well as being ordered to pay £85 costs and a £50 victim surcharge.
Bhachu was also banned from driving for 18 months.
But he can reduce the disqualification period by four months if he completes a government-approved course.
