A man died after being hit by a train close to Romford station yesterday evening (Monday).
A spokesman from British Transport Police (BTP) said: “Officers from BTP, and the Metropolitan Police attended the incident, which was reported to BTP at 6:31pm and is currently being treated as non-suspicious.
“Medics from the local ambulance service also attended but the man was pronounced deceased at the scene.”
Trains were delayed for up to an hour while emergency services dealt with the incident.
A file will now be prepared for the coroner.
