Young people gave Parsloes Park’s railings a much-needed lick of paint at the weekend.
They joined with with residents, Friends of Parloes Park and DIY Porter’s Lodge – a community street redesign project – to freshen up the park and make it more inviting.
It was part of National Citizen Service, which brings young people together from different ethnicities and backgrounds to contribute to their communities, and someone from Friends of Parsloes Park suggested Saturday’s task.
They said: “We had the idea to paint the railings around the lake as we hope it will encourage more people to use and enjoy the park. It’s great that young people and DIY Porter’s Lodge were able to get involved to.”
