A part-suspension of the Central line has been lifted following a fire at Bank this morning (August 24) resulted in no service between Liverpool Street and Marble Arch.

Severe delays had also been reported across the whole line.

A Transport for London (TfL) spokesperson confirmed the cause of the part-suspension was the fire at Bank, and apologised for the disruption to customers' journeys.

They added engineers worked "as quickly as possible" to restore a normal service.
