George Saddington George died unexpectedly, but peacefully, on 4 March 2023 aged 86. Much loved husband of Brenda, and father of Cathy, Andrea and George. Devoted grandad of Lauren, Rose, Jessica , Imogen, Tom, Louis, Ben and Lucy and great grandad to Malachi and Elijah. He will be remembered for his lifelong dedication to the people of Romford through leadership of Havering Libraries, organising the award-winning Havering Heritage Exhibition, fundraising as a Rotarian (including a period as President of Romford Rotary Club), and over 40 years organising and presenting Music Evenings at Romford and Hornchurch libraries. He became a Freeman of The City of London in 2002. An inspirational man who will be much missed. His funeral will take place on 11 April at The City of London Cemetery at 12.00
