A ceremony to celebrate the changeover of a standard for Harold Wood Royal British Legion was part of a Remembrance Day service on Sunday.

A parade took place from the Harold Wood’s Working Men’s Club to the war memorial hall before a dedication service to mark the change of the standard, the branch’s flag.

The branch legion’s standard bearer Colin Seabrook presented the flag to Rev David Banting, the vicar of St Peter’s Church, before he blessed the new standard and held a service to mark Remembrance Day.

Branch committee members Andrew Parnell, said: “It was a great turnout for the service. We would like to say thank you to everyone who attended.”
