The world wars cast the longest shadow over the 20th century, but it is a different conflict of the time which will be in the spotlight next week.
Sunday, April 2 marks the 35th anniversary of the start of the Falklands War, which saw Britain and Argentina fight over ownership of the Falklands Islands.
Hundreds of soldiers were killed across the spring and early summer of 1982, until the war came to an end on June 14.
But how much do you know about the conflict? Take our quiz to find out, and see next week’s Recorder for an interview with a veteran.
