Cubs, beavers and scouts from the 1st and 3rd Harold Hill groups followed army cadets in the Remembrance Sunday parade down Hilldene Avenue to the war memorial on Farnham Road.
“We have to remember the sacrifice that people made for us, and also remember those that are still fighting,” said beaver leader Jenny Lamb, 63. “You’ve also got to remember that the scouts association was founded by Lord Baden-Powell, who was a soldier.
“Respect, honour and remembrance are integral to the scout association. Each year we get more local people coming out to join us, which is nice.”
