Rapper Boistrus has just signed a record deal

»Boistrus, real name Matt Arnold, from Collier Row, has been signed by Manchester based Affinity Records.

It’s a moment he has been working towards since the age of 13 when he started MCing with friends in his garage.

He said: “It’s just a weight off my shoulders.

“It’s a dream a lot of people are chasing but not everyone sticks to it.

“I stuck to it and held out and it’s come out of the woodwork.”

The video for his second single I Think You’re The One, which was filmed inside the Buddha Lounge, Romford and at the Kings Oak Hotel, Loughton, will be available on Virgin On Demand next week.

An album is next on the agenda as well as collaboration with a mystery male artist.

Boistrus said: “I have a single lined up with another male artist. I can’t tell you who it is yet but it’s going to be good.”

But the rising star has not forgotten his roots and wants to recognise those who helped to make his dream possible.

He added: “I’m having a launch party next week to thank everyone who has supported me, especially all my friends and family, for helping me get to where I am.”
