»Romford rock group, Dawgfish are preparing to take to the stage with famous film and TV guitarist Danny Gill – and they’re enjoying every moment of it.

Lead vocalist Adrian Brown said: “It would be great if Danny was a permanent fixture in the band but we know that it won’t happen because he lives in Sweden and he has a lot of commitments.

“We are just normal people who have taken the next step in our careers, but he has been in movies and on TV, so for us he is the next best thing to bands like the Foo Fighters.”

The group – Adrian on lead vocals, lead guitarist James Crow, bassist Gary Debine and drummer Paul Rees – will be performing with Danny, whose songs have featured in TV shows including Touched By An Angel, on Wednesday at the Crown Inn in Hornchurch.

It follows a previous successful gig with Danny at the same venue.

Adrian said: “It was a big hit.

“We put something on the internet beforehand saying that it was going to happen and we had lots of people getting in contact with us asking if he was really going to be there. At the end, the pub was just so full of people.”

The band, who cite influences like Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix, formed in 2011.

They perform across Essex and Hertfordshire covering classic and modern rock songs.
