Romford Pictures: Paint and pixels art exhibition in Hornchurch theatre
PUBLISHED: 12:00 17 August 2013
Artistic duo Zoe Clements and Barry Kirk have joined forces to create an unusual exhibition at The Queen’s Theatre.
The venue, in Billet Lane, will display examples of how photography and paint can be used together to create an original canvas.
The centrepieces of the exhibition are two images – “Weeping Wall” and “Tropical Chives”.
Zoe, a mother and self-taught artist says it was her open mind that found a route to expression through painting, using acrylic paints for eye-catching creations.
Barry, a photo-journalist, now retired from the daily pressures of the newsroom, is looking at different ways of using digital photography to show the beauty of colour and shape.
And their individual work is combined to make one image using a revolutionary process.
It has been an experience for both artists, and they say they hope visitors enjoy the journey through their work.
The exhibition is in the foyer of the theatre from Monday August 26 until September 7. Entrance is free and opening hours are 10am to 8pm Monday to Saturday.
