For two nights only, Moscow Ballet La Classique will perform Swan Lake at the theatre in Billet Lane, Hornchurch from March 25-26.

The magical story follows Odette, who under the curse of evil sorcerer Von Rothbart, is turned into a swan.

She is not the only one to share this unfortunate fate – her and many other girls have been doomed for eternity to dance on a lake formed by their parents’ tears.

Mesmerised by her beauty, the eligible Prince Siegfried soon falls for Odette.

But Von Rothbart has other ideas and tricks the prince into declaring his love for the sorcerer’s own daughter, Odile.

Set to Tchaikovsky’s score and loved for more than 100 years around the globe, Swan Lake is the ultimate story of good versus evil. But which will prevail?

Previous productions by the Moscow Ballet La Classique, have proved extremely popular at the Queen’s Theatre in recent years, enjoying sell-out shows and rave reviews.

The company was established in 1990 and is home to dancers from the former Soviet Republic and the Ukraine.

Tickets are £16 for children and £24 for adults from 01708 443333.
