Teacher Viv Allaway said: “She spoke to the children about following their dreams and never giving up. She was truly inspirational.”

Faith Wicks and Krists Rumbenieks were the two main award winners on the day and Newtons had more to celebrate when Allaway herself received an award from Havering Council for 25 years service as a team manager for their London Youth Games netball squads.
