Pupils train with England coaches
Marshalls Park pupils got the chance to train with England’s futsal coaches at SportHouse in Barking last week.
The Year 9 team were selected, having played the small-sided game the longest at their school, and got to watch the England team train ahead of their friendly international double-header with Turkey, before receiving special coaching themselves.
Oaks Park (Redbridge) and Passmores Academy (Harlow) were also invited and Park’s Keiran Daly said: “It was fantastic. We learnt a lot of new drills that we can use when coaching.”
PE teacher Paul Aylett added: “I would like to thank the parents of the boys, especially Mr Fisher, Mr Daly, Mrs Hughes and Mrs Potts for helping.
“The parents’ help was appreciated as I was in London with the Year 11 GCSE cohort on a student conference.”
